Church is more than a service.

In the Bible, the church is most often spoken as a body. This imagery points to the reality that we are all interconnected and depend on one another in life—much like a body relies on all its parts to function well. This is very different from the way most people view church—which is generally an event you attend on weekends to be checked off the calendar. At Rock Point, we believe that while Sundays are important, the church is not a service but the people who come together to worship on the weekend and then live life throughout the week together at home, work and in society.

As the church, Christians are to take the primary role in serving each other and their communities, helping one another to grow to be more like Jesus, and caring for the hurting and injured members of the body, as well as sharing the good news of Jesus.

In a larger church like ours, Groups are the best and primary way in which we do this.

If you want to grow in your relationship with Jesus, you’ve got to have intentional relationships with people who have the same goal.  A Group consists of three or more people who meet regularly to pursue spiritual growth and healthy relationships.  There, you’ll be encouraged to live out the truth you discover in the Bible, even as you encourage others to do the same. But more than just a Bible study or a prayer group, members are encouraged to challenge the injustices found in their communities by partnering and serving through various charities and ministries.

At Rock Point we believe that people grow better in circles than in rows. For more information about joining or starting a Group, email .
